Due to the extraordinary artwork and rarity, this poster is the most sought after JAWS 2 poster available. There are three versions of this poster; the 1st printing Teaser which was sent to theaters well before it was released in the summer of 1978 and then there was a 2nd version that didn’t include the date below the title and then there was a 3rd printing Teaser that was released shortly after this one. The history behind the 1st and 3rd releases is not an uncommon one for film marketing companies. Audiences were confused when this 1st release was first displayed because they thought it was the original Jaws film being re-released; so to help clarify the confusion the 3rd printing was issued with a tag line above the Jaws 2 text reading: “ALL NEW”. This poster is in very fine C8 folded condition and has no significant flaws. Slight color loss along the fold lines.
