ONE OF THE THOUSAND Y.M.C.A GIRLS IN FRANCE, 1918. Original US WW1 Poster (27 x 42” / 89 x 138 cm) originally rolled and now linen backed. Designed by Neysa McMein (1888-1949) for the United War Work Campaign of 1918 this scarce and persuasive image depicts a young girl offering a mug of hot tea to an unseen soldier while she holds a pile of books in the other.
Originally rolled this poster was in very fine condition prior to linen backing with one or two small surface scratches
