FORBIDDEN LAND, 1904. Original (20″ x 30” / 66 x 98 cm) rolled Theater Poster presented by the Dearborn Management group for the Dearborn Theater in Chicago. Forbidden Land is “An original Tibetan Comic Opera in Two Acts” and was based on a a book by Guy Steely with a musical score by Frederic Chapin. This poster depicts Hulda proclaiming to Adoul not to hang himself: “Oh Meester Fellar, Don’t do it!””.
This rare poster is in very fine C8 condition with hint of an old tape stain in along the upper and lower margins. Colors are very bright, Copyrighted and Printed by the Stourbridge Litho Co. Cincinnati & New York.
