THE MAN WHO KNEW TOO MUCH, Original Alfred Hitchcock Movie Poster

THE MAN WHO KNEW TOO MUCH, 1956. Original 1 Sheet (27 x 41” / 89 x 135 cm) folded Movie Poster starring James Stewart and Doris Day and directed by Alfred Hitchcock. One of  five Hitchcock lost movies unavailable to theaters and movie buffs following its initial release in 1956 as the rights to the movie were bought by Hitchcock for his daughter and not re-released to audiences until 1984. The movie is also unusual in that Doris Day was selected for a dramatic role not usually associated with the actress. Stewart plays a doctor whose son is kidnapped while in Morocco. The doctor and his wife witness a murder on the same day and learn there is a plot afoot to murder a famous politician.

Poster is linen backed and ready to frame. The National Screen Service Stamp (NSS) on the reverse of the poster does bleed through somewhat near the “A” of Stewart which though original might bother some customers.
