This hugely popular blockbuster movie made in the early seventies set a new trend in disaster movies and was followed by the Towering Inferno and Earthquake. “Hells upside down …at midnight on New Years Eve the S.S. Poseidon was struck by a 90 ft, tidal wave and capsized…who will survive – in one of the greatest escape adventures ever seen”.
