DKW Motorcycle Advertising Poster, 1936. This rare and unusual poster celebrating the DKW (Dampf-Kraft-Wagen) brand of German motorbikes measures 26.75″ x 75.5″ (68cms x 192cms) and features a stylised Art-Deco representation of the four successful racing motorcycle champions competing in the German championships of 1936. The four cyclists; E. Kluge, H. P. Muller, H. Kahrmann and K. Braun are named just above the DKW brand logo. Interestingly DKW was the world’s largest motorcycle manufacturer in 1930 and was subsequently merged in 1932 into a new company Auto Union that subsequently became know as Audi. Price rolled $800.
