EAT MORE CORN, OATS AND RYE, 1918. Original WW1 Poster (21″ x 28″ / 69 x 92 cm), issued by the U.S. Food Administration. A rare poster which is hard to find in good condition due to the quality of the paper it was printed on. “Eat More Corn, Oats and Rye products – Fish and Poultry – Fruits, Vegetables and Potatoes Baked Boiled and Broiled Foods. Eat Less wheat, meat, sugar and fats to save for the Army and our Allies”. Designed by L. N. Britton (1858-1954).
This poster has been linen backed and has had some minor color retouching a diagonal crease in the lower left corner. Poster now looks superb with brilliant graphics and bright colors – ideal for the kitchen or dining room!
