KEEP THESE OF THE U.S.A, 1918. Original Linen Backed WW1 Liberty Bond (30” x 40” / 98 x 131 cm) poster. This poster designed by John Norton (1876-1934) for the 3rd Liberty Bond Campaign of World War 1. This poster depicts a pair of blood soaked Prussian boots embellished with the territorial map of the Prussian empire and the black eagle on top. Below in large letters is the message keep these off the U.S.A . Buy more liberty bonds.
This poster did have a long tear extending down from the top margin into the design. We have linen back this poster and repaired the tear. The image itself had no missing paper or stains and the poster is now ready to frame.
