THE BAT, 1958. Original 1 Sheet (27 x 41” / 56 x 71 cm) linen backed movie poster starring Gene Evans, Scott Marlowe Carolyn Kearney and Robert Arthur. Directed by William Witney this poster typifies the classic bad girl image used so often in movies of the drive-in era in the fifties. With all the elements promised on the poster the movie is about teenage punks stealing a car and joyriding through all kinds of trouble along the way. “the scorching, reckless Joy Rides of wild girls on the road!”.
This poster was in poor C5 condition prior to linen backing with fold line separation, tape burns on the border and missing paper in the lower left corner. Colors are bright and and poster displays well.
