AIR FRANCE – ROME, 1959. Original Vintage French Travel Poster (24 x 39” / 79 x 128 cm) designed and illustrated by french artist Jacques Nathan Garamond (1910-2001); the artist commonly signed his work as “Nathan”; printed in France using traditional lithograph. In this poster, Nathan utilized a colorful palette and cubist shapes to create more of a stylized depiction of ancient Roman architecture.
This poster is originally rolled and in very good C9 condition with only very minor quality remakrs: small pinholes in all 4 corners from previous mounting and very minor wrinkling at some edges from rolling. Otherwise this poster is in great condition and would look absolutely stunning if customer opts to Linen Back for an additional fee – this process would preserve the poster’s current condition and virtually eliminate all of the quality remarks stated above.
