This award winning film about the horror of the Vietnam war rapidly became a classic and won 2 oscars. This film is considered the best film ever made by John Milius and some of the quotes “I love the smell of Napalm in the morning” resonated as the hippy era was coming to a close. This film ironically embraced war and showed its bloody face to a population of people not yet desensitized. With so many haunting and memorable scenes underscored by a powerful story line and epic dialog; this film is nothing short of a masterpiece. The artwork for this film is by Bob Peak.
