John Wayne & the Cowboys, 1972. Original One Sheet (27 x 41”), (89 x 125 cm) originally folded and now linen backed Style B movie poster starring John Wayne, Bruce Dern and Colleen Dewhurst and directed by Mark Rydell. In this western movie John Wayne plays the role of a cattle rancher who is heading to South Dakota when his crew take off west to look for gold. Left in the lurch he decides to hire a bunch of older school children to help with the drive. Along the way a seasoned cattle rustler has other ideas and is in hot pursuit. “All they wanted was their chance to be men…. and he gave it to them”.
This poster was originally folded and has now been linen backed and is ready for framing. Light retouching of color along the fold lines.
