JUNGLE JIM IN THE FORBIDDEN LAND, 1951. Original folded 1 Sheet (27 x 41” / 69 x 104 cm) Movie Poster starring starring Johnny Weissmuller, Sheila Ryan and directed by Lew Landers. Following Weissmuller’s career as Tarzan he turned his attention to starring in a series of 16 films produced between 1948 and 1955 by Columbia pictures. The series, which was based on a comic strip and set in Africa, was very popular and Jungle Jim in the Forbidden Land was the eighth entry. Jungle Jim is forced into the forbidden land and must battle evil ivory poachers and mutant giants with the help of his chimp Tamba and a pretty anthropologist.
This poster is in good folded condition with chips, tears, and creases along the margin, and some fold lines separation. Linen backing is recommended for this as it will rid of the folds and creases and allow us to patch the bigger chips and repair the tearing happening along the fold lines.
