KELLY’S HEROES, 1970. Original 1 Sheet (27×41″) Spirit of ’76 style A movie poster for sale starring; Clint Eastwood, Telly Savalas, Don Rickles, Donald Sutherland director Brian G. Hutton and writer Troy Kennedy-Martin. This very RARE POSTER was painted by famous cartoonist Jack Davis who was also founder of “Mad” the satirical magazine founded in the 50s. Davis was also acclaimed for other forms advertising art; magazine covers, film posters, record album art and of course comic books. This poster was actually the style A release for this film, which is why it is strange the poster is so rarely seen in the collector’s world. Either way, the poster is a fine piece of artwork, by a legendary artist, featuring the legendary actor Clint Eastwood and maybe not for a legendary movie, but still one worth seeing! By the way, this movie was also known as “Kelly’s Warriors”which was the working title used in the United States.
