There are few car lovers who have not seen this movie, especially those fans of American muscle cars! Reynolds drives a hot Firebird TransAm which is noticeably featured on this English OS movie poster and not on the US 1 sheet. His choice of car for this film helped it to become collectible. This is not just an opinion but a fact; “TransAm sales rocketed up from 68,745 in 1977 to 93,341 in 1978. One year later that number further inflated to 117,108 units sold!” (Ref. IMDB). The movie and the poster has become a bit of a cult classic and has a non trivial following in the United States and abroad.
