Original heavy stock rolled 30 x 40 (30″ x 40″) movie theater poster for sale starring Mark Hamill, Harrison Ford, Carrie Fisher, Alec Guinness, Peter Cushing, and director / writer George Lucas. “A long time ago in a galaxy far, far away…” Fantastic artwork by Drew Struzan and Charles White that is also known as the “Circus Style” movie poster. It is reported that this artwork is the favorite of George Lucas. These 30x40s are extremely rare, desirable and hard to find in any condition, let alone near mint as this one is! They were first introduced as marketing material for cinemas back in the 1930s. They were displayed in theater lobbies, balconies, bus, train and subway depots and are characterized by having the NSS information printed along the vertical axis. Beginning in the early 1980s the 30 x 40s began to be phased out of use.
