STAR WARS: Episode IV “A New Hope”, 1977. Original folded Turkish 1 Sheet (25 x 37” / 63 x 94 cm) Movie Poster starring Mark Hamill and Carrie Fisher and directed by George Lucas. This poster, illustrated by twin brothers Greg and Tim Hildebrandt, came about after a series of posters illustrated by artist Tom Jung that Lucas deemed “too dark”. Lucas wanted art that reflected the boldness and brightness of comic books, and with that he got this “Style B” iteration which would become a staple in the movie’s promotion and merchandising.
