Avez vous place dans votre coeur pour nous (Have you a place in your hear for us). 1917. This Original Vintage Poster (20 x 30” / 66 x 98 cm) depicts a forlorn Dutch girl comforting her brother while sitting on rubble amid the smoke and flames of her village. Designed by Walter DeMaris (1877 – 1947) for the Fatherless Children of France campaign which lasted through 1920 or perhaps more generally for uniting orphans of WW1 with American families.
This poster was originally rolled and is in fine condition though missing its snipe at the base of the poster stating where the donations could be sent. We have linen backed the poster and it is now ready for framing. We linen back and frame all of our posters IN HOUSE at our studio in Katy, TX!
