The Hustler, 1961. Original Folded French Grande Movie Poster 47” x 63” (119 x 160 cm) designed for the French re-release of the movie in 1982. Starring Paul Newman, Jackie Gleason, and Piper Laurie, and directed by Robert Roseen, this film sees a young and talented pool player face off against a champion in an all-defining match! This movie was originally released in the United States in 1961 and quickly became a classic pool hall favorite. Unlike the uninspired American original release poster for the movie which lacks any reference to pool this French re-release actually depicts a pool table with the actors faces on the pool balls.
