BREAKFAST AT TIFFANY’S, 1961. Original German A1 (23 x 33”), (75 x 108 cm) originally folded and now linen backed movie poster designed and printed for the 1986 re-release of the movie to German audiences. Starring Audrey Hepburn, George Peppard, and Mickey Rooney and directed by Blake Edwards and written by George Axelrod. Based on the 1958 novel of the same name by Truman Capote. This movie quickly became an instant classic, and defined Hepburn as the style queen of the ’60s. Breakfast at Tiffany’s is among the most memorable of her movies and desired movie posters of all time.
This German A1 poster is in excellent condition. The artwork is by prolific German movie poster artist, Lutz Peltzer. His design for the German release of Breakfast at Tiffany’s features unique flourishes of color creating a captivating portrait of Audrey in her iconic role as Holly Golightly. The only flaw on this otherwise perfect poster is a small white scratch near the middle of the right-hand side of the poster.
